The Lewd Knight

Overview

The Lewd Knight follows a girl who decides, more or less on her own, that her city needs cleaning up. She starts as a slightly deranged cosplayer chasing creeps out of the park at night and works her way toward being an actual hero. That arc is the whole game, and the fun is that it never pretends she is ready for it.

Structurally it is two games stitched together. During the day you are an office employee: you work, you earn, you manage the boring adult stuff that funds the costume. At night the game turns into a roguelike run through the city, where encounters escalate, you can be overwhelmed, and losing has consequences that carry into the story instead of just resetting you to a checkpoint.

What keeps it going is the pacing between those halves. Money earned by day buys what you need at night, and the nights push you into situations that change how the days read. It is a long game with a few hours per session, built in Unity, and it gets updated regularly, which shows in how much of the city is filled in compared to older builds.

Story

She is not chosen, not bitten by anything, and nobody asked her to do this. She just decided the park should be safe to walk through after dark, bought a costume, and started walking through it.
