Ravager

Overview

Ravager is a villain campaign disguised as an RPG and visual novel, and it commits to the premise. You start as a young dragon pushed out of power, not dominating anyone, just surviving and building strength while the world treats you like something to be hunted.

Progression makes that transformation feel earned. Strength, Charm and Potency are not flavor stats, they decide outcomes in conversations, intimidation, persuasion, battles and political moves. The game checks you constantly, so being underprepared shows and building smart feels good. You can shape your dragon identity too, brutal and direct, manipulative and clever, or charismatic and strategic, without the game shaming you toward one correct path.

As the acts progress the management layer expands into lair building: resources, followers, morale, fortification and influence. There is no cartoon morality meter, just reputation, fear, loyalty and opportunity. Game modes matter as well, because in the mode where checks can fail the campaign gets tense and failure pushes you down routes you would not have chosen. There is grind early if you want to optimize, and some content hides behind specific decision chains.

Story

A dragon without a hoard is just a large problem waiting to be solved by someone with a spear. You start there, at the bottom, with a long memory and a very clear idea of what you intend to take back.
