Nine Lives of Yoki

Overview

Nine Lives of Yoki is a furry-themed pixel RPG that leans heavily into exploration and atmosphere. You play as Yoki, a white fox with the ability to reincarnate, exploring floating islands scattered across a mysterious region.

At its core this is a platformer with light RPG elements. You jump, avoid hazards, collect items and slowly unlock new abilities. The main goal in each area is gathering special flowers, which you then offer at totems to progress or unlock bonuses.

The adult elements are optional and tucked into specific scenes rather than constantly shoved in your face. Most of your time is spent exploring, learning the layout of the islands and figuring out how to reach new areas. It is still in development, but the art, music and overall vibe already give it a surprisingly cozy feel.

Story

Yoki wakes up among floating islands with no easy way home and one strange gift: every death sends her back for another life. Nine of them, to be exact, and each one is another chance to reach the places the last one could not.
