Network Euphoria

Overview

RegretfulBliss describes Network Euphoria as a mix of Succubus Affection, Papers Please and Town of Passion, which is a strange combination that turns out to describe it accurately. It is a near-future mystery and slice-of-life game, hand-pixeled, where the investigation is the gameplay.

You play Lewis, son of a co-founder of a tech corporation, who goes to his uncle's manor to get away from things and finds a hidden AI server instead. From there it is about using the tools you have and your own reading of people to work through what is going on in the manor and in the town of Lynlee, while the relationships you build feed back into what you can find out.

The pixel art is hand-drawn rather than generated and the developer states no generative AI was used anywhere. Sessions run about an hour, and four of the nine planned characters are implemented so far. The main build is paid at ten dollars minimum, but there is a free older build and a free Halloween short on the page if you want to try the loop first.

Story

Lewis went to his uncle's manor to get some distance from the family business. The server he found in the house suggests the family business followed him there.
