Angel Under

Overview

Angel Under is one of those games that feels like a fever dream, in a way where you can tell it is intentional. At the center you have Milo and Erin. Erin is a sheltered monastery girl, and Milo navigates a demon-hunting reality show like it is normal Tuesday content. The world is a vibrant, stylized desert city that somehow feels colorful and depressing at the same time.

The tone is sharp. It balances dark themes with the kind of grotesque humor that uses comedy to punch you in the stomach five minutes later. You see it in the character designs, the offbeat conversations and the way scenes turn on you.

It is not just story either. There are action segments where you use firearms and melee with tight timing to deal with monsters, managing spacing and keeping control when things get chaotic. Recent updates added a free roam structure, so you choose which character missions to tackle, plus inventory items and emblems that change how you perform.

Story

In a desert city that runs on spectacle, hunting demons is content and the cameras never stop. Erin comes out of a monastery with no idea how any of it works. Milo has been doing it long enough to stop asking.
